Search Freesound — search real recorded sound effects and drop one at the playhead. Needs your own Freesound API key (⚙ settings). Each result keeps its original license — check before using a non-CC0 sound commercially.

Select a clip on the timeline first.

Recognize video content — scans the selected clip so the AI command bar can understand content-based references like "when the pack is opened" or "the last 3 cards", instead of you typing exact timestamps. Free by default (runs a small object-recognition model locally in your browser, no account or API key needed). If you've enabled "Use Claude API" with a key below, this uses Claude's vision model instead for richer, more specific descriptions.

Card price lookup — identifies the trading card at the playhead (Gemini vision) and adds a text overlay with its JustTCG price in AUD. Needs a Gemini API key and a JustTCG key (⚙ settings).

AI command bar mode — how your typed instructions get turned into edits:

Pattern Matching — free, instant, offline. Only understands exact phrasings like split at 0:10, zoom in on clip 1 from 2 to 5, speed up clip 1 by 2x. Free Local AI — free, no account, real language understanding. Downloads an AI model (one-time, cached by your browser) and runs it on your device via WebGPU (Chrome/Edge only). No local model matches Claude, but you can trade download size/speed for quality below.

Claude API — best quality, phrase requests however you like, but costs API usage on your own key. Gemini API — same idea as Claude API mode, using your own Google Gemini key instead.

This same setting also controls whether "🔍 Recognize Video Content" uses the free local model, Claude Vision, or Gemini's vision model.

Card price lookup (optional) — "💰 Add Card Price at Playhead" (Auto-Cut tab) has Gemini identify the card visible at the playhead, looks it up on JustTCG, and converts the price to AUD. Needs a Gemini API key above (regardless of which AI mode you're using for commands) plus your own JustTCG key.

Freesound (optional) — powers "Search Freesound" in the Audio tab with real recorded sound effects from freesound.org's library. Get a free key at freesound.org/apiv2/apply.
